They have chosen Le Mans
  • Mutual Logistics – Mr. Vincent Denis CEO

“Our company has been located on the logistics site of Le Monné for some months and employs 120 persons.
In Le Mans Métropole we could find an effective welcome, a location corresponding to our needs to install our distribution platform for frozen goods to be dispatched to the 900 outlets of the Carrefour group. In this Great West hub we can receive goods from the Western agri-food industries (Brittany, Pays de la Loire) and distribute them in the Western quarter of France and in the South West of the Ile de France area. Besides, the proximity of Le Havre enables to dispatch goods from Le Mans to the overseas departments.”

  • AKIOLIS – Laurent Beaumont – General Manager

The university technology park has been hosting a new company since July 2008: “AKIOLIS Group” specialised in the collection, processing and valorisation of organic by-products on authorised markets (energy production, animal feed and pet food, fertilisation, lipid chemicals, gelatine). It employs 1,100 persons in 13 industrial sites and 34 intermediary collection centres. AKIOLIS Group is a subsidiary of Tessenderlo Group specialised in chemistry. The company has perfectly secured the management of animal organic by-products and waste and contributes to protect public health and the environment and to improve the performance of the animal industry.

The move of the head office to Le Mans in July 2008, the change of name of the holding company in November and the change of name of all the subsidiaries as and when the activities were legally separated until an organisation in three areas was finalised mid-2010, show the in-depth evolution made by the group to provide comprehensive answers to its customers and to strengthen its efficiency. The site in Le Mans employs 50 persons.

  • ST ERICSSON – Christophe Lorieau – General Manager NXP Semiconductors

“We had the choice between 3 or 4 sites: Crolles, Sophia Antipolis, the Paris area, Caen. We have decided to set up in Le Mans, 200 metres from the train station. 7,500 m² next to the TGV train station, that’s practical and exceptional. I want to insist on the quality of life in Le Mans: people are not aware of the chance they have to live there. As regards housing and life, it’s much better than anywhere else.”

  • Gérald Tourrette – Central Human Resources Manager MMA

“Le Mans enjoys exceptional means of access. The site of Novaxis where our head office is installed enables us to be close to Paris at real estate costs four times cheaper than in the Montparnasse station area. Not to mention the employees’ availability. All these advantages reinforce our position: to continue our development here.”
